Wedding Re-Cap Wednesday

Our ceremony took place at Saint Patrick Parish, the church we attended as we went to elementary school as well with our families. Neil & I decided not to do a first look and shockingly I didn't bawl my eyes out as I walked down the aisle. My dad waited to see me until we arrived at the church and him & I had special moment just the two of us on the limo bus. The ceremony was the most important part of the day as it made Neil my husband & I will always remember that moment.

Craig & Nicole's Candle Lake Wedding

Back to the grind Monday morning after a very busy but good weekend. Neil's brother Craig married his lovely wife Nicole this weekend at Candle Lake.

{Friday} Neil & I headed out before 10am to make our way to Candle. It was about a 2.5 hour drive with some annoying construction but we had fun by playing dumb music & having a dance party in the Equinox. We were the first of the Nagys to arrive so we crashed Craig & Nicole's cabin before going for a round of golf with Uncle Tim & Auntie Karen. The golf course was beautiful, we saw some cute wildlife but had a really crappy game {I played 9 holes, the other 3 went for 18}. Throughout the day family was showing up & we all had booked cabins that were in the same area, kind of like our own cabin block so that was fun to "cabin hop" to visit. Neils parents, grandma, Brent, Chantel & Owen & us stayed in one big cabin {which was very nice}. Craig & Nicole hosted a BBQ & we spent the evening laughing our pants off by playing the game.... tele something. I can't remember the title of it but it was seriously the funniest game I've ever played. We had such a fun group to play it with, it really started the weekend off right.

{Saturday} We had a lot of time before the ceremony {it was at 3pm} so we had breakfast, decorated the hall, went to the beach, had a nap, Chantel, Owen & I visited her childhood cabin that her grandpa built & then we started to get ready for the wedding. The ceremony was held down by the lake and it was beautiful. Windy but gorgeous & very quick {I think it was only 10mins?} After that we took some family pictures and went back to the cabin to hang out while the bridal party went around the lake for photos. By the time we knew it, it was already 5pm and we made our way for cocktail hour. Supper was great, speeches were quick & cute & it was time to dance. Usually Neil & I are on the dancefloor quite a bit for weddings, but we had a good group of people at our table & decided to just visit & enjoy. There was 10 of us left by the end of the night & we shut the place down. It was such a nice location that Craig & Nicole chose, such a mellow day leading up to the ceremony. We all are so happy for you both & wish you nothing but the best life & marriage!

{Sunday} We were awoken to Mr. Owen crawling on us in bed. I have to say it was the best wake up call ever! I'm not the best morning person, but having Owen there smiling & laughing first thing in the morning sure makes everything better. We packed up and left pretty early because the drive was a little long & we were anxious to get home {cabin beds not comfy, crow squawking outside your window = lack of sleep}. We made it home just before noon so we had the afternoon to do whatever we wanted {which was not much}. We were so tired from all the commotion of the weekend that we were in bed & sleeping before 9:30pm!

I feel like I say this every Monday {and I'm pretty sure I do} but we have yet another busy week ahead of us. Grocery shopping, haircut, slo pitch, packing & heading to the lake for the long weekend is on the agenda! I seriously can't wait until September when we may finally be home on a weekend & hopefully have less going on during the week. Oh well, I guess that's what summer is for!

It's "Friday!"

Today is our Friday, yaaay!

We are off work tomorrow to head out to Candle Lake to help with the preperations for Craig & Nicoles wedding. Saturday's forecast is predicting 21 degrees & sun and I reallly hope it stays that way. That's perfect weather for an outdoor, lake wedding.

The countdown is on for our long weekend to start {only 3 hours to go}. Running around tonight, packing, maybe a little sleeping in tomorrow morning & we're off! Fingers crossed for a perfect, fun, wedding #2 for 2013 weekend!

{side note, 1 month from today we will be jetting off to Vegas!! woohoo!}

Wedding {Re-Cap} Wednesday

We got married on May 25, 2013.

Our day was beyond perfect. The girls at I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel the night before the wedding to get ready in the morning {our reception was held at this hotel}. Hair {Blissful Hair & Make Up} & makeup {my cousin Bailey} came to us, Bailey was our iPad DJ for the morning, the girls treated me with Starbucks in our customized tumblers, flowers were delivered to us. The morning was flawless {minus the overcast rain clouds that hung around for the day, no major rain though!}

A Prince Was Born

Now we don't live anywhere close to London, England. The Royals really don't have much to do with our lives {I guess the Queen is important to Canada, but not mine of Neils life I mean} but that doesn't mean I can't be excited about the newborn Prince!

I had the Royal Baby Monitor feed on all day yesterday and all morning today waiting to see the action happening at the Lindo Wing of St.Mary's Hospital and Buckingham Palace.

I have to admit I love Kate Middleton. She's beautiful, seems so down to earth, fashionable. It's so exciting to see a part of history being made as well as their family starting. You have to wonder what she feels growing up a "commonwealth" and living the life of a Royal.

Anyways, welcome to the world little Prince! Can't wait to find out your name & see how cute you are!

Monday Morning {Weekend Re-cap}

It was yet another busy but good weekend.

Friday night we ended up at mom & dads and ordered delicious Blue Diamond ribs for supper. We hung around their for awhile but because Neil & I were both so tired, we went home pretty early to veg out before going to bed.

{Saturday morning} My cousin Cole came by the house to pay us a visit. Lucky guy just bought a brand new 2013 Ford truck. While still in my jammies, he took us for a ride around town {sweet truck bud}. Meanwhile at the same time, my parents were in Watrous buying their new 2013 GMC Denali. Summertime must give people cravings to buy new wheels. Both trucks are very, very nice.

{Saturday afternoon} We had a date to head to the Walker's for the day. Jay & Neil had a tee time for 12:37pm and Krystal & I were going to brave the grand opening of Bath & Body Works. We arrived at the store shortly before 2pm and the lineup was quite long but it wasn't going to turn us away. After 45mins of waiting we we're allowed to enter the store!! Cue the music *heaveeeen!* There would be people crammed in, lots of apologies for bumping into those people, wallflowers breaking & cat litter being used to soak it up, long, slow moving till lines. It was straight.up.craziness. but so, so worth it! Krys walked away with a few goodies, I walked out with 2 full bags, score.

After BBW, we headed to Target for a quick peek & grabbed a few things & back to the Walker house we went. Krystal & Jay graciously had us over for a BBQ supper {thank you both, it was delicious!}

{Saturday night} On the way home from the Walkers, Neil looked at me.. I looked at him & we decided to head to the lake for the night. Mom & dad were out after purchasing their truck, we weren't going to be there next weekend so we made the fast choice of heading out. We basically left a cloud of smoke behind us at home with how fast we packed the overnight & cooler bag. Our poor kitties were looking at us like "seriously, you're leaving again? you just came home! We got their close to 8:30pm and instantly it was a sense of relief & happiness. Had a few drinks, some munchies & sat by the fire for a bit. Perfection. Oh, and we got to use the new super air mattress, it felt SO good to not wake up sleeping on the floor!

{the late, beautiful drive out to the lake}

 {Sunday morning} There was a huge, loud thunderstorm Saturday night that kept Neil & I awake for most of the night. Thankfully no damage was done, just a good rain came out of it. Sunday was going to be a gloomy, overcast, windy kind of day but we headed out for a round of golf anyways. We all had a killer game! Its always fun either way of a good or bad game. Mom happily collect 30 some golf balls from the bush & the boys went for another 9 & had their best game yet {so they say}. We headed home around 2ish to get ready for the Rider game. Pizza, pop & everyone on a couch with a blanket downstairs is how we enjoyed it.

 {Monday morning} Today I am on Royal Baby Watch. I've got the live feed camera on the Lindo Wing in London waiting for the news of the Royal birth! Hopefully today is the day for them!

{royal baby monitor}

 Overall it was another great weekend, so much going on & so much fun. This week is crazy yet again {dentist appointment, shopping, slo-pitch, haircut, tux pickup, packing} & then we are off to Candle Lake Friday morning for Craig & Nicole's wedding! Can't wait for that!!
